Williams-Sonoma, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 31, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 2,137.54 million compared to USD 1,948.34 million a year ago. Net income was USD 267.08 million compared to USD 246.07 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.92 compared to USD 3.29 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.87 compared to USD 3.21 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 4,028.76 million compared to USD 3,697.37 million a year ago. Net income was USD 521.19 million compared to USD 473.87 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.5 compared to USD 6.29 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.36 compared to USD 6.11 a year ago.
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is an omni-channel specialty retailer for home products. Its brands include Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Williams Sonoma Home, Rejuvenation, and Mark and Graham are marketed through e-commerce Websites, direct-mail catalogs and retail stores. These brands are also part of the Company's loyalty and credit card program that offers members benefits across the Williams-Sonoma family of brands. It operates 518 stores, which include 480 stores in 40 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, 19 stores in Canada, 17 stores in Australia and two stores in the United Kingdom.
