WDB Holdings Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2017. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 18,450 million, operating income of JPY 2,090 million, ordinary income of JPY 2,121 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 1,870 million or JPY 93.26 per share as compared to net sales of JPY 15,887 million, operating income of JPY 1,630 million, ordinary income of JPY 1,633 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 831 million or JPY 41.44 per share for the same period a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2018. For the year ending March 31, 2018, the company expects net sales of JPY 37,560 million, operating income of JPY 3,749 million, ordinary income of JPY 3,759 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 2,822 million.
WDB HOLDINGS CO., LTD. is a company mainly engaged in the manpower dispatching business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Human Resource Service segment is engaged in the work of client customers mainly through temporary staffing and contracting contracts. The CRO (Contract Research Organization) business segment acts on and supports experimental work in basic research of pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics and development work after clinical trial. The other business is engaged in the contracted manufacture of organic chemicals, as well as the product development and sale, and the research of the aquaculture and breeding of clams, fishes and algae, among others.
