14:15 ET -- Walt Disney Co. is one of the most talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Activist investor Nelson Peltz is seeking a board seat, calling Disney a "company in crisis" with poor governance and a flawed direct-to-consumer strategy. On Wednesday, Disney said Mark Parker would become chairman, succeeding Susan Arnold. Disney said it "engaged with Mr. Peltz numerous times over the last few months" and said it has "continually refreshed" its board. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (josh.beckerman@wsj.com)
