VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY, INC. Vishay Intertechnology Inc. introduced a new series of molded MICROTAN(R) solid tantalum chip capacitors for space-constrained consumer electronics. TL8 series devices employ a high-volumetrically efficient packaging solution to enable the capacitance-voltage ratings in small case sizes down to 0805 with low profiles from 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm. Vishay Sprague TL8 capacitors are offered in a variety of compact EIA standard footprints, including the 0805 (2.0 mm by 1.25 mm), A case (3.2 mm by 1.60 mm), and B case (3.50 mm by 2.80 mm).
The devices feature high capacitance-voltage ratings from 3.3 microfarads-35 V to 220 microfarads-4 V, standard capacitance tolerances of 10 % and 20 %, and an operating temperature range of - 55 degC to + 85 degC, or + 125 degC with voltage derating.
