On Monday Veolia officially opened the 'V', its new head office in Aubervilliers in Seine-Saint-Denis in the northern suburbs of Paris. Antoine Frérot presented Veolia's new 'Maison Commune' to local politicians and partners.
Built in the prolongation of Canal de l'Ourcq in the heart of the Plaine Commune business district, the 45,000 m glass, wood, and concrete building with interior gardens, offers a friendly, spacious working space for Veolia's 2,000 employees.
A symbol of Veolia's transformation this 'Maison Commune' now brings together Veolia's head office and several entities previously scattered throughout in the Paris region.
'In a changing neighbourhood where the city of the future is being built, Veolia's role is to participate in urban transformation and promote environmental excellence. The HQE and BREEAM certified building will help us to work differently, in a more transversal, more responsive, and also more creative way,' stated Antoine Frérot; before going on to say:
'Actor in the city and in urban solidarity, our Group wants to live in symbiosis with this district inAubervilliers, with Plaine Commune and the Department ofSeine-Saint-Denis. (…)Building a new head office is an important step in the life of a company. A step that will allow us to better serve our customers and better cooperate with our partners, to push the boundaries of the environment related activities.'
