Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE:VMI) acquired the assets of Pure Metal Galvanizing, Inc. for CAD 48.9 million ($49.6 million) on December 19, 2012.Valmont acquired Pure Metal Galvanizing for CAD 45.12 ($45.69 million) in cash, net of cash acquired, plus assumed liabilities. In addition, the purchase price includes contingent consideration with a fair value of CAD 3.83 million ($3.88 million) to be paid at the end of five years if certain earnings objectives are met over the period. Pure Metal reported annual sales of CAD 34 million. Valmont Industries expects the acquisition to be slightly accretive to 2013 earnings.
