Transcanada Pipelines Ltd (TCPL) is a Canada-based company, which is engaged in the development and operation of energy infrastructure industry. The Company develops and operates natural gas and liquids pipelines, power generation and natural gas storage facilities in North America. It operates in three segments: Natural Gas Pipelines, Liquids Pipelines and Energy. Its natural gas pipeline network transports natural gas to local distribution companies, power generation facilities and other businesses across Canada, the United States and Mexico. It connects natural gas supply basins and markets through its wholly owned and partially owned natural gas pipelines. Its liquids pipeline segment connects Alberta and the United States crude oil supplies to the United States refining markets in Illinois and Oklahoma, among others. Its Energy segment includes a portfolio of power generation assets in Canada and the United States, and unregulated natural gas storage assets in Alberta.
