Tokyo Electric Power Co. Chairman Kazuhiko Shimokobe announced that he will step down from the post this year after about two years in office. The utility and the government are planning to appoint TEPCO outside director Fumio Sudo, former president of JFE Holdings Inc., to replace Shimokobe.
