Star Asia Investment Corporation agreed to acquire Trust Beneficiary Interests in Matsubushi Logistics from GK 29er for ¥2.8 billion on January 12, 2018. In a related transaction, Star Asia Investment Corporation also agreed to acquire Trust Beneficiary Interests in Nihonbashi Hamacho Park Building, Urban Park Koenji, Cradle Ryokuchi Keon from Domestic GK, GK SAPR6, and GK SAPR5 respectively and Trust Beneficiary Interests In Funabashi Nishiura Logistics I and Funabashi Nishiura Logistics II from GK Viper. The transaction will be financed from proceeds from the issuance of new investment units through public offering, new borrowings and cash on hand. As on January 22, 2018, Star Asia Investment Corporation will raise ¥5.7 billion by issuing new investment units through public offering for funding acquisition. The transaction is expected to be completed on February 2, 2018. Toshinobu Kawanishi of Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. acted as the real estate broker in the transaction.
