Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA has appointed Tim Dawidowsky as its chief operating officer starting Thursday.

The Spanish wind-turbine maker said Wednesday that Mr. Dawidowsky would move to Gamesa from Siemens Energy AG, where he was senior vice president of project excellence.

He will be based in Madrid, the company said.

Mr. Dawidowsky will step down from Gamesa's board of directors, of which he has been a member since 2020. A successor will be announced in due course, the company said.

Mr. Dawidowsky joined Siemens AG in 1993, and has worked across several sectors including oil and gas, steel, mining, traffic systems, power generation and transmission.
