Seria Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the second quarter ended September 2020. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 97,389 million against JPY 87,969 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 9,683 million against JPY 8,107 million a year ago. Profit was JPY 6,602 million against JPY 5,463 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were JPY 87.06 against JPY 72.04 a year ago.
Seria Co Ltd. is a Japan-based discount retailer of general merchandise that sells products at a single price of 100 yen. The Company is involved in the retail of consumer products through stores, as well as the wholesale of products to franchisees, big clients and overseas agents. The Company offers daily miscellaneous goods such as make-up goods, kitchen supplies, eating utensils, washing and bathing goods, sanitary products, cleaning substances, cosmetics, accessories, sewing goods, stationery, toys, character goods, gardening goods, health products, hygiene products, clothes, cleaning products, storage goods, tools, umbrellas, electrical appliances, pet goods, interior goods, outdoor products and seasonal products, among others. It also provides sweet stuff including instant foods, seasonings, canned food, noodles, rice, confectionery, drinks, bakery products, sweets and others.
