In France, Saint-Gobain has for many years been part of the Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO) organization which presents the only national architecture award honoring the architect/client duo.

The special Saint-Gobain AMO award was recently presented to the CNRS (French scientific research center) and architect Vivien Pillot from the firm Groupe 6 for the new premises of the Laboratoire de Mécanique et d'Acoustique in Marseille (France). With this award, Saint-Gobain sought to focus on the occupants' thermal, acoustic and visual comfort as well as the building's interior air quality, as these are all parameters that condition people's real living comfort.
