Sacyr Concesiones has sold its 20% equity interest in the concession of Puerta de Hierro Hospital located in Majadahonda (Madrid) to the infrastructure fund DIF. The transaction is valued at 55 million Euros, jointly considering the value of its stake and the associated debt.

Puerta de Hierro Hospital is operational since 2008. The hospital has a total area of 245,000 m2 and 764 hospital beds. The concessionaire provides non-sanitary services such as maintenance, security, catering, cleaning and sterilization, amongst others. It also manages the commercial areas

This transaction is encompassed within the strategy of Sacyr Concesiones to rotate mature assets in order to invest in greenfield projects, a sector in which the group holds a leading position worldwide. The group occupies the 7th position in the ranking of managers of transport infrastructure concessions in the world according to Public Works Financing (PWF), with 35 assets in eight countries (Spain, Portugal, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Italy and Ireland) including assets such as: motorways (more than 3,600 kilometres), transport hubs, hospitals (over 2,200 beds) and an underground line.
