?Our working moms are at various stages in their careers and lives and we want them to be successful at every phase,? said Maureen Corcoran, vice president, Health, Life and Inclusion. ?That's why we offer resources such as 24/7 lactation support, flexible work arrangements, back up in-home child and elder care, tuition reimbursement, life, health and budget coaching and financial support for adoption and foster care programs. These programs provide employees with the tools they need to help take care of their family responsibilities so they can continue to do their best at work.?

In recognition of Working Mother magazine's 25th anniversary, Prudential has created the ?Prudential's Real Working Mothers? page housed on its newsroom to share the stories of four working moms who are successfully juggling work and life responsibilities. Visit the Prudential newsroom to read their stories.

The working mothers profiled are: Dana Bopp, director, Information Systems who is a single mom by choice and also an adoptive mom; Stephanie Brannagan, project manager, Learning, who took six years off from the corporate world to raise her children; Loretta Chon, director, International Investments, who manages a busy travel schedule while raising her young children; and Gale Britton, vice president, Recruitment and Selection, who is the mother of a son with autism and a daughter who is a recent college graduate.

?Prudential's Real Working Mothers page honors Prudential's working mothers as well as all working parents,? said Corcoran. ?Their stories are encouraging, inspirational and demonstrate the importance of work/life resources and support networks in helping employees creatively manage their personal and professional responsibilities.?

Companies were selected for the 2010 Working Mother 100 Best Companies based on an extensive application with more than 600 questions on workforce, compensation, child care, flexibility programs, leave policies and more. It also surveys the usage, availability and tracking of programs, as well as the accountability of managers who oversee them. Seven areas were measured and scored: workforce profile, benefits, women's issues and advancement, child care, flexible work, parental leave and company culture. For this year's 100 Best, particular weight was given to benefits, flexibility and parental leave. Profiles of the 100 Best Companies, as well as national comparisons, are in the October issue of Working Mother and at workingmother.com/bestcompanies.
