CINCINNATI, Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Febreze, the "Official Air Freshener of the NFL" and the Dallas Forth-Worth Salvation Army are teaming up to host the first-ever Febreze Game Day Freshness Sports Equipment Drive at the NFL Experience, from January 27-30, 2011 and February 2-6, 2011. Just in time for Super Bowl XLV, Febreze and the Salvation Army will be collecting new and gently used sports equipment and athletic gear from local and visiting families at NFL Experience, which will be freshened using Febreze products and donated to the North Texas Youth Education Town in Arlington.

"We are proud to support local youth organizations like the Youth Education Town and its continued spirit of giving to young athletes," says Scott Beal, Brand Manager of Febreze. "Febreze products, specifically our Febreze SPORT line, are designed to eliminate tough sports odors from fabrics like shoes, apparel, and other athletic gear and keep sports equipment that you can't wash fresh for any athlete, during any sports season."

During the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl XLV, consumers will be encouraged to drop off new and gently used sports equipment, apparel and gear at the Febreze Game Day Freshness tour bus stationed at the NFL Experience. Each donation will be rewarded with a discount to the on-site merchandise shop and a Febreze To Go Fabric Refresher sample.

"Our partnership with Febreze to facilitate the Sports Equipment Drive furthers our commitment to donate products and services for people in need," says Captain Andy Miller III, of the Salvation Army. "The donated equipment and gear will go directly to the North Texas Youth Education Town in Arlington to provide athletes of tomorrow a better chance to succeed."

The Febreze drive is a result of a sponsorship between Procter & Gamble and the NFL. The Febreze family of products has always been well-known for providing fresh, clean scents and eliminating odors from fabrics and the air, and now has tackled tough odors in NFL locker rooms across the country.
