PI Industries Limited Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended December 31, 2022

PI Industries Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 16,132 million compared to INR 13,563 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 16,634 million compared to INR 13,823 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,518 million compared to INR 2,226 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 23.2 compared to INR 14.67 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 23.2 compared to INR 14.67 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 49,264 million compared to INR 39,043 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 50,359 million compared to INR 39,857 million a year ago. Net income was INR 9,490 million compared to INR 6,394 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 62.57 compared to INR 42.16 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 62.55 compared to INR 42.15 a year ago.
PI Industries Limited is a holding company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of agro chemicals. The Company operates through two segments: Agro chemicals, and Pharma. The Agro chemicals segment includes Agchem exports (CSM) and Domestic Agri Brands. The Pharma segment comprises contract research and development, contract development and manufacturing of active. It also includes materials and intermediates used in the pharmaceutical industry. The Company offers services, such as research and development services, CSM services, distribution services. The research and development services comprise target, discovery, molecule design, library synthesis, lead optimization, biological evaluation and route synthesis. It also provides Shield (fungicide) and Londax Power (rice herbicide) products. It offers services in areas, such as contract research, process development, analytical method development, process safety data generation and detailed process engineering.
