Philippine Racing Club, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was PHP 34.89 million compared to PHP 12.22 million a year ago. Revenue was PHP 348.87 million compared to PHP 19.42 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 199.36 million compared to net loss of PHP 28.73 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was PHP 0.3927 compared to basic loss per share of PHP 0.0566 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was PHP 0.3927 compared to diluted loss per share of PHP 0.0566 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was PHP 102.46 million compared to PHP 39.13 million a year ago. Revenue was PHP 417.38 million compared to PHP 90.61 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 234.04 million compared to net loss of PHP 84.29 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was PHP 0.461 compared to basic loss per share of PHP 0.166 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was PHP 0.461 compared to diluted loss per share of PHP 0.166 a year ago.
Philippine Racing Club, Inc. is a Philippines-based company, which is primarily engaged in the business of operating and maintaining a racetrack covered by its franchise and managing betting stations located within Metro Manila and other parts of the country. The Company is also engaged in acquiring and developing real estate property, including but not limited to leisure, recreational and memorial parks and owning, operating, managing and/or selling real estate. It operates through four segments. Real Estate Operations segment is engaged in real estate business, such as development and sale of land and condominium units. Club Racing Operations segment is engaged in the operation and maintenance of racetracks and holding of horse races. Leasing segment is mainly engaged in the leasing of horse stables, condominium units, and other facilities. Sale of Food, Beverage and Services segment is involved in merchandising operations of food and non-food items, including the related services.
