Three ships MSC Tomoko, Da Qing and Nordic Baltic carrying Containers, General Cargo and Coal were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships Silver Millie and Porest Park carrying Palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period.

A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Rice, Coal, Canola, General Cargo, LNG and Palm oil respectively.

Out of them, two ships edible oil carrier Pacific Endeavour and bulk cargo carrier Pedhoulas Cherry sailed out to sea from LCT and FAP on Wednesday morning, while another bulk carrier HTK Confidence is expected to sail from PIBT on same day in the afternoon.

Cargo throughout during last 24 hours stood at 80,201 tonnes, comprising 62,452 tonnes imports cargo and 17,749 tonnes exports cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,372 Containers (1,593 TEUs imports and 779 TEUs exports) was handled at port.

Six ships MOL Grandeur, Maersk Detroit, Pacific Achievement, Captain Pegglizos, Sea Ambition and Chemroad Dita carrying Containers, Coal, Soya Bean, Chemicals and Palm oil are expected take berths at QICT, MW-4, FAP, EVTL and LCT respectively on Wednesday. While two more container vessels APL Antwerp and Hugo Schulte are due to arrive at PQ on Thursday.
