NEXTDC today announced a colocation agreement that sees PCCW Global, the international operating division of Hong Kong-based HKT, join NEXTDC's independent community of carriers and service providers.

PCCW Global's technology-neutral MPLS capability delivers multiple services via a single connection, including IPX (IP eXchange). This is a next-generation network and voice platform built over MPLS that guarantees end-to-end delivery of high-quality voice and mobile data services via a single port.

NEXTDC CEO Craig Scroggie said, 'This agreement demonstrates the fundamental synchronicity between international telecommunications companies and world-class regional connectivity providers like NEXTDC. We host a thriving community of IT enterprises and their end-customers, and PCCW Global has the expanding worldwide presence.'

He added: 'Colocation data centres are the new forum for international IT business, because we provide secure, flexible connectivity between enterprises plus the opportunity to leverage the incredible reach of companies such as PCCW Global.'
