Neoenergia offers recharging infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial and business customers who want to electrify their fleets.

Neoenergia has signed a contract with WEG and will exclusively use the Brazilian manufacturer's recharging stations for its electric mobility solutions. The recharging stations for electric vehicles offered in the partnership are the WEMOB (WEG Electric Mobility) line, developed and manufactured in the country. All models have energy measurement and are intelligent, with open communication protocol, internet connection and recharge management platforms.

The partnership is aligned with Neoenergia's commitments to sustainable development, stimulating the local production chain and electric mobility, thereby fostering the efficient decarbonization of the economy and combating climate change."With WEG, we are demonstrating our actions to stimulate national production, generating jobs and income for the country. This is a strategic partnership, with a company that meets all technical requirements and has extensive experience and credibility in the market",says the Director of Liberalized Business of Neoenergia, Hugo Nunes.

Neoenergia's electric mobility solutions are aimed at residential, commercial and business customers who want to electrify their fleets. The available solutions meet various applications, with products of different configurations as required by the customer, including technical survey and installation that can be requested on thewww.neoenergiacomercializacao.com.br.

The company's electric mobility solutions are present in eight states - São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte - and in the Federal District and will soon be nationwide.

Recharging stations with a power of 7.4 kW and can be powered in single-phase or biphasic networks (127 or 220V) are offered. This is the ideal model for residences or condominiums. "The use of the right chargers provides safety for people and vehicles, as well as efficiency in recharging," explainsHugo Nunes.

There are also 22 kW power chargers These points have one or two outputs, and can recharge two electric vehicles simultaneously. With 3-phase power of 220V or 380V, it is intended for individual or shared use in companies or trades. The two models operate with type 2 connector, the most common on the market.

The Ecosystem of solutions includes, in addition to the recharge stations, management platform for collection or apportionment of the consumption of each user, controlled access via proximity cards (RFID tags) and system for demand control - WEMOB Smart Charging System - for cases where the power consumed by the station exceeds the demand contracted at the installation site.

"Our partnership with Neoenergia seeks to foster and strengthen projects related to solutions for recharging electric vehicles and business models related to sustainable energy solutions. We want not only to advance our strategy of making electric mobility a reality in Brazil, but also to serve in a structural way the entire chain necessary for the viability of electricvehicles," explains Manfred Peter Johann, Managing Director of WEG Automação.

Sustainable mobility

Sales of electrified vehicles between January and October this year increased 74% compared to the same period last year, reaching more than 27,000 units. Given these figures, the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE) predicts that the license plate will pass 30,000 units in 2021, breaking a record.

To stimulate this increase, Neoenergia invests in the expansion of the recharge infrastructure. The company implemented the Green Corridor,an electrovia with more than 1,100 kilometers of extension between Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte, with 18 recharging points for electric vehicles, twelve along highways and six in malls located in Salvador, Recife and Natal. The project is part of the R& D program, regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).

The Green Corridor is one of the initiatives of the Sustainable Mobility Plan of Iberdrola, the parent company of Neoenergia. The program also includes the recharge solutions offered by the merchant. These initiatives are aligned with the group's decarbonization policy around the world to fulfill its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), primarily to combat climate change (SDGs 13). Unlike combustion-powered vehicles (petrol, ethanol and diesel), electric vehicles do not emit greenhouse gases.

In addition, electric vehicles can represent savings of up to 70% in the value of the kilometer wheeled in relation to gasoline. Consumers can further reduce costs by installing solar panels at home or commercial points, a solution also offered by Neoenergia. With photovoltaic generation, you can reduce your energy bill by up to 95%.
