National Development Bank PLC reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported net interest income was LKR 6,637.7 million compared to LKR 8,845.86 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 1,536.88 million compared to LKR 1,185.44 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 3.7013 compared to LKR 2.8541 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 3.7013 compared to LKR 2.8541 a year ago.
For the six months, net interest income was LKR 15,332.88 million compared to LKR 15,090.45 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 2,390.96 million compared to LKR 1,724.76 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 5.7586 compared to LKR 4.153 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 5.7586 compared to LKR 4.153 a year ago.
