Minerva S.A. ("Minerva" or "Company"), one of the leaders in South America in the production and sale of fresh beef, live cattle and cattle byproducts, with operations also in the beef, pork and poultry processing segment, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, at the Board of Directors meeting held on this date, was elected as independent member of the Board of Directors of the Company, under the terms of article 150 of Law 6,404/76, Mr. Gabriel Jaramillo

Mr. Gabriel Jaramillo has a large financial experience and led during his career several integrations of institutions in the Americas as the Banco Internacional de Colombia, Banco Comercial Antioqueno and Invercredito in Colombia, Banco Santander in Brazil with the Banco Meridional, Bozano Simonsen and Banco do Estado de São Paulo - BANESPA, and the integration of Banco Santander in the United States with Sovereign Bank. Mr. Gabriel Jaramillo was President of Citibank in Colombia and Mexico, and President of Banco Santander in Colombia, Brazil and in the United States. Additionally, he gained international recognition by transforming Banco Santander into the third largest financial institution in Brazil. Mr. Gabriel Jaramillo holds a Master in Business Administration/MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from California State University and received honorary degrees from North Eastern University.
