MFS Investment Management® (MFS®) announced portfolio management appointments for several closed end funds, effective May 1, 2011.

William Adams, CFA, will be added to each portfolio management team of the following Funds: MFS® Charter Income Trust (NYSE: MCR), MFS® Multimarket Income Trust (NYSE: MMT), MFS® Intermediate High Income Fund (NYSE: CIF), and MFS® Special Value Trust (NYSE: MFV). Adams will also continue in his role as director of credit research at MFS.

Current investment team member John Addeo, CFA, will transition off the above mentioned portfolios. He will remain with MFS and continue to serve as a member of the firm's High Yield team, in which he participates in the research process and strategy discussions.

Other investment team members on the above mentioned Funds will continue in their current portfolio management duties.
