Mercedes-Benz has announced that its F1 team principal James Allison has signed a long-term contract extension, an important move ahead of the new technical regulations to be implemented from 2026.

James Allison joined the team in 2017 as technical director, overseeing a long period of success including four drivers' titles and five consecutive constructors' championships.

' I'm delighted that James has committed his long-term future to the team. Simply put, he is the most impressive technical leader in our sport. His gladiatorial spirit, as well as his knowledge, experience and determination, make him second to none' commented Toto Wolff, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal.
