Berlin/Stuttgart. The penultimate night, Christiane Arp, Editor in Chief of VOGUE Germany, and Wolfgang Schattling, Director of Motorsport Marketing Communications & Branded Entertainment at Mercedes-Benz, hosted the traditional Mercedes-Benz & VOGUE Fashion Night at the iconic Borchardt restaurant in Berlin. Over 350 of the most prominent opinion leaders and influencers of the German fashion industry came together for a cocktail celebration of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Guests included the protagonists of the new Mercedes-Benz Fashion Campaign, Russian supermodel Natasha Poly, American photographer Jeff Bark and Japanese designer Atsuko Kudo amongst others including actress Sibel Kekilli and designer Dorothee Schumacher.

This seasons trends, forecasts and expectations - the topics of the 14th Mercedes-Benz and VOGUE Fashion Night were manifold and ranged widely. Because of the interesting and diverse guest mix and the relaxed, intimate atmosphere, industry leaders and VIP guests of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin always enjoy socialising and networking at this seasonal get together. The shows of the first two days were discussed passionately as well as the positive and continuing development of Berlin as an international fashion hub. Many guests were still excited by what they had just seen at the third Der Berliner Mode Salon at the Kronprinzenpalais, this now established, yet ever evolving institution for German designers.

'Five years ago we created The Vogue Salon, a presentative platform for German design talents. The Der Berliner Mode Salon enhances this idea with over 50 designers now participating and giving trade press the opportunity to experience the essence of German design,' says Christiane Arp. 'In partnership with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, the fashion hub in Berlin is constantly growing and I cannot think of a better place to celebrate this than at Mercedes-Benz & VOGUE Fashion Night.'

'Every season I particularly look forward to this inspiring get-together', says Wolfgang Schattling. 'Berlin is continually developing; nothing ever stands still here. There is so much talent with unbelievable creativity in the German fashion industry, which once again was clearly showcased at both, Der Berliner Mode Salon and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. We are proud to be able to continue to support these creative platforms as well as the young designers, with our continuing, specifically created funding programmes.'
