LG International's board of directors appointed Lee Hee-beom, the company adviser and chairman of the Korea Employers Federation, as its new CEO and vice chairman. He is scheduled to begin his term in January. He has served as an adviser to LG International since June.
He served as industry minister from 2003 to 2005, and chairman of STX Heavy Industries, STX Construction and STX Energy from 2009 to 2012. He previously worked as chairman of the Korea International Trade Association.
