Verdi has reached a wage agreement with Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings for cabin crew.

In essence, monthly remuneration will increase by 10.7 to 14.4 percent, as the union announced on Monday. The agreement reached at the weekend also includes a tax-free inflation compensation bonus of 2,000 euros. "We are extremely satisfied with this negotiation result," said Verdi negotiator Marvin Reschinsky. The financially necessary upgrade had been successful. "The salaries at Eurowings are impressive compared to the rest of the industry and the group."

The result shows that good agreements in the Lufthansa Group are also possible without strikes. "We expect this willingness to reach an agreement quickly from the employers in the ongoing negotiations, whether on Lufthansa ground or at CityLine." Eurowings employs around 1800 flight attendants at its locations in Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin.

At the Lufthansa subsidiary CityLine, the cabin crew union UFO demanded 15 percent more pay for the flight attendants at the start of the collective bargaining for a period of 18 months. UFO is also demanding an inflation adjustment bonus of up to 3,000 euros and various bonuses for the approximately 900 cabin crew at the regional airline.
