LANXESS AG announced that Gisela Seidel stepped down from the Supervisory Board, prior to her upcoming retirement. With effect from June 1, 2016, she was succeeded by Ifraim Tairi, Chairman of the Dormagen Works Council. The industrial supervisor and technical management expert has been a member of the Works Council since 2007. He was elected as a substitute candidate for Gisela Seidel in the elections of the employee representatives to the Supervisory Board in 2015. Effective July 1, 2016, Dr. Heike Hanagarth was appointed by a court as a member of the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG. She succeeds Claudia Nemat, who had served as a member of the supervisory body of the Cologne-based corporation since July 2013. Hanagarth served on the Management Board of Deutsche Bahn AG until 2015. Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at Daimler-Benz AG, MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, IFA-Rotorion Holding GmbH and the BMW engine production site in Munich.
