In recent years the ROAC ("Race of Austrian Champions") has developed into a fixed attraction in the Austrian Motorsports scene when year after year the best Austrian drivers meet to race against each other at the end of the season. This occasion was an extremely positive end of season for KTM thanks to Kris Rosenberger and his "razoon - more than racing" Team. Rosenberger won the class 2WD in a series model KTM X-BOW R and he did it competing against extremely strong opponents from the rally scene!

This season KTM X-BOW instructor Kris Rosenberger was able to conquer the historic National Rally championship so he was on the start at "Race of Austrian Champions" in two separate categories - the one for historic rally cars and also for the 2WD vehicles. Happily for Rosenberger, who has recently moved from Lower Austria to Styria (and as such is now located very close to the KTM X-BOW production facility), he won in both classes! What was particularly pleasing for KTM, Rosenberger dominated the 2WD competition with his KTM X-BOW and therefore proved that it was possible to compete against highly specialized racing cars with a series model - as long as it was an X-BOW!

In the finale, Kris Rosenberger came up against none other than the Austrian 2WD national rally champion Michael Böhm (Suzuki Swift S1600). Driving the KTM X-BOW, which had been perfectly prepared for him by "razoon - more than racing", he left his rival no chance and won with a time of 2:16.84 minutes and with it, was almost a second faster than Böhm (2:17.68 minutes).

"It is impressive that you can compete and win against a fully fledged racing car with a series model vehicle that is homologated for the road," enthused Kris Rosenberger said after the race. "It was even more impressive when you consider how much gravel there was, and when you know that the track was wet and we had to drive on wet tires the whole day! But the sensational power-to-weight ratio together with the mid-mounted engine and the rear wheel drive is also an unrivaled vehicle concept here at the "Race of Austrian Champions". A huge thank you to Dominik Olbert and "razoon - more than racing", who made a super racing car available to me!"

The participants in the "X-BOW Head to Head Race", in which the fastest eight super finalists from the "X-BOW Summer Cup" were allowed to start, also did well. Winner was Georg Kössl with a time of 2:22.68 minutes ahead of Thomas Zauper and Mario Schopper.

"This demonstrates the high quality of the participants in the finale," Kris Rosenberger commented. As well as competing in the two classes, he also acted as a coach for the amateurs. "To be only six seconds behind my best time in these conditions is really worthy of praise. Also for the fastest participants of the X-BOW Summer Cup it was certainly a great experience to compete in front of such a big crowd!"
