Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced that the company has been selected by Askey Computer Corporation to accelerate development of new 5G designs on millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies using Keysight’s 5G network emulation solution. Askey Computer Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of ASUS Computers, specializes in the manufacturing and development of electronic and network communications products and tools. Keysight’s collaboration with Askey has resulted in the successful demonstration of data rates using Askey’s 5G new radio (NR) customer premises equipment (CPE). As a result, leading mobile operators can quickly deploy fixed wireless access (FWA), which relies on high performing CPEs operating in mmWave frequency spectrum to deliver wireless broadband services to customers’ homes. Keysight’s 5G network emulation solution allows mobile device manufacturers and modem makers to validate new designs, addressing the entire device development workflow from early design, to acceptance and manufacturing. This solution leverages Keysight’s UXM 5G Wireless Test Platform to support mobile device verification and certification across radio frequency (RF), radio resource management (RRM), and protocol.
