Kering: new creative director at Alexander McQueen

The Kering group (which includes Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, Ginori 1735, as well as Kering Eyewear and Kering Beauté) has announced the appointment of Seán McGirr as Creative Director at Alexander McQueen.
Previously, Seán McGirr was Ready-to-Wear Director at JW Anderson, which he joined in 2020, initially to manage the Men's collections, and later to take on responsibility for the Women's collections.
Previously, he was Women's Designer for Dries Van Noten in Antwerp. From 2014 to 2018, he was part of Uniqlo's creative teams in Tokyo and Paris, working for Christophe Lemaire's Men's collections.
