Jameson Resources Limited announced that since being extracted by core drilling last summer (July-Sept) the North pit samples from Crown Mountain have undergone preparation, testing, blending, washing, and carbonization in a sole heated oven. Results are in line with previous testing in 2013/2014, as detailed in the PFS, confirming the North pit exhibits CSR characteristics of a benchmark premium hard coking coal. The CSR of 76 places Crown Mountain North coal in an enviable position: Figure 1 displays the limited sources for coal demonstrating those characteristics, which is a crucial component of a coking coal blend for efficient blast furnace ironmaking. The next step for the North blend is carbonizing in a pilot (moveable wall) coke oven. This is a larger scale test which should be complete within the next several days. The coke produced in the movable wall oven will be subjected to more extensive coke strength testing (CSR & Drum Index), which will be released as soon as they are available. South pit samples continue to work their way through the lab, with coke testing likely to occur during June. As recently announced, the Bankable Feasibility Study is underway and the company have appointed a highly qualified Project Manager to advance Crown Mountain.
