International Petroleum Limited is an Australia-based oil and gas exploration and production company. The Company is engaged in exploration for hydrocarbons. The Company, through its subsidiary, North Caspian Petroleum Ltd, operates and owns approximately 50% interest in subsoil use rights for the exploration of hydrocarbons in the early-stage project in Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan Project or Alakol License Area). Its Alakol Project covers approximately 24,650 square kilometers of the Alakol Basin and Balkhash Basin in eastern Kazakhstan, near the western boundary of the People's Republic of China.
