ID Logistics : takes over the operations of the Auchan distribution centre in Lędziny, Poland.

As a major player in contract logistics, ID Logistics is strengthening its cooperation with Auchan Poland, a long-standing customer. In charge of a warehouse of the brand in Mszczonów (central-eastern Poland) for more than 8 years, ID Logistics will now take care of the operations of the distribution center in Lędziny (south-west of the country), from where deliveries are shipped to points of sale in southern Poland.

With a surface area of 54,000 m² and 470 employees, the Auchan warehouse in Lędziny has been operational since 2022. Its opening responds to the need to reorganize the brand's logistics in Poland and optimize its supply chain. The site is dedicated to the storage of dry and fresh food products as well as products requiring temperature-controlled storage (dairy products, meat, fish, fruits and vegetables). Cleaning products, household products, textiles and furniture are also stored there, all destined for Auchan hypermarkets, supermarkets and small shops located in the south of the country.

At the Lędziny site, ID Logistics is in charge of receiving deliveries, warehousing, stock management, loading, distribution and transit (direct shipment to stores). The logistician's mission also includes product labelling, including Polish labels on imported goods.

In order to gain efficiency, in compliance with health and safety standards for its employees, ID Logistics has implemented, within the warehouse, several adapted technological solutions such as a voice order preparation system.

In addition, as part of Auchan Poland's strong environmental approach, ID Logistics has chosen to promote sustainable and low-emission solutions within the warehouse. These aim to reduce energy consumption, waste production and the carbon footprint of all logistics activities on site. Thus, the Lędziny site has obtained the BREEAM certification of very good level. ISO and IFS (International Food Standard) standards are also respected by the logistician in all its activities.

The Lędziny site is the second Auchan Poland warehouse, managed by ID Logistics. The first, located in Mszczonów, with an area of 47,000 m², is dedicated to the storage of industrial products (cosmetics, cleaning products and household products) but also foodstuffs that do not require controlled temperatures. This site distributes Auchan stores in the North of the country, as well as e-commerce orders.
