Iberdrola SA on Wednesday set out its interim dividend for 2022, in line with its equity position amid a capital increase.
The Spanish utility said Wednesday it will increase its capital by a maximum market value of 1.17 billion euros ($1.23 billion) through the issue of up to 106 million new shares. This guarantees an interim dividend of at least 18 European cents a share, the company said.
The company last year paid an interim dividend of 17 cents a share, with the final payout for the year rising to 44 cents.
Shareholders in the Madrid-based firm approved the capital raise at a general meeting last summer. In November, Iberdrola said it would pay out at least 46 cents a share in dividends this year and next, rising to 50 cents in 2025.
