Hua Yang Berhad reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 68,424,000 compared to MYR 49,912,000 a year ago. Operating Profit was MYR 9,625,000 compared to MYR 7,041,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was MYR 5,668,000 compared to loss for the period of MYR 815,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was 1.64 sen compared to basic loss per share of 0.23 sen a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported revenue of MYR 199,511,000 compared to MYR 141,296,000 a year ago. Operating Profit was MYR 22,544,000 compared to MYR 15,136,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was MYR 8,580,000 compared to MYR 1,771,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was 2.47 sen compared to 0.50 sen a year ago.
Hua Yang Berhad is a Malaysia-based company, which is engaged in investment holding, property development and provision of management services. The Company operates through two segments: Property development and Concession assets. The Property development segment is in the business of constructing and developing residential and commercial properties. The Concession assets segment is the business of collection of rentals over the concession periods from assets held under build, operate and transfer agreements.
