Hotai Motor Co.,Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 49,697.28 million compared to TWD 60,653.7 million a year ago. Revenue was TWD 57,490.62 million compared to TWD 65,944.76 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 813.52 million compared to net income of TWD 4,150.71 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.4608 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 7.451 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 104,362.65 million compared to TWD 121,332 million a year ago. Revenue was TWD 118,532.56 million compared to TWD 132,132.41 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 3,479.77 million compared to TWD 9,154.56 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 6.2451 compared to TWD 16.4216 a year ago.
Hotai Motor Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the distribution of motor vehicles and relevant parts. The Company primarily provides passenger cars and business vehicles, with brands named LEXUS, TOYOTA and others, as well as large-sized vehicles, including trucks and passenger cars, with brands named HINO. In addition, it is involved in the provision of air conditioners for vehicles, vehicle leasing services and installment payment services, as well as parts and components for vehicles. The Company is also engaged in insurance business. The Company operates its businesses primarily in domestic market.
