Harley-Davidson, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 27, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced operating income was USD 280.360 million compared to operating loss of USD 116.099 million a year ago. Net income was USD 206.340 million compared to net loss of USD 92.217 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.34 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.6 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.33 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.6 a year ago. For the half year, operating income was USD 626.534 million compared to operating loss of USD 8.586 million a year ago. Net income was USD 465.484 million compared to net loss of USD 22.522 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.03 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.01 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.15 a year ago.

The Company operates in three segments: Harley-Davidson Motor Company (HDMC), LiveWire, and Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS). HDMC's products are sold to retail customers primarily through a network of independent dealers. HDMC also distributes its motorcycles through an independent distributor in India. HDMC offers internal combustion engine motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson brand.
