Inspiration at the heart of fashion.

After the first show of the year in New-York, Première Vision is stopping off in Sao Paulo on 21 and 22 January for the ninth Première Vision Sao Paulo. The event will bring together 97 exhibitors from 12 countries; they will be presenting their latest fabrics, prints and accessories to designers, students and professionals from the fashion sector. "When inspiration encounters fashion" will be the guiding theme of this year's event, thus paying tribute to the importance of imagination, identity and inventiveness in the design process.

"Première Vision is recognised as the show that groups together the best range of raw materials for the fashion and textile sectors. For the South American industry, it is the reference event, presenting the type of high-added value raw materials that have enabled national brands to improve their competitiveness on the international market," explains Guglielmo Olearo, Première Vision's International Exhibitions Director.

The programme during the show has several highlights in store for visitors. "Interventions Project" will showcase brands, designers, artists, weavers and accessory manufacturers who will give denim a whole new perspective. "The project is based on the need to produce original, unique fabrics. The experiments and hand-crafted techniques demonstrated can be incorporated into industrial manufacturing processes," explains Pascaline Wilhelm, the fair's Fashion Director.

Another highlight on the programme will be the debates on "When art encounters fashion" and " Prints, Art on the surface ", involving professionals, researchers, designers, artists and journalists. To round off, there will be a conference on "Materialising your inspiration, or how to design a collection".

At the same time, the Trends Forum will present a selection of the latest products, ranked according to the major themes of the season, with samples provided by different exhibitors.

Two tools will also be at the disposal of the professionals, students and trend initiators who need to have more detailed information: the "Color range", a publication that identifies all the season's trends, with explanations from the Première Vision team, and "Trend Vision", the eagerly-awaited presentation of inspirations, trends and concepts that can help artistic directors define their collections.

Once again, Première Vision Sao Paulo promises to be the reference event for fashion professionals in the Brazilian and Latin American markets.
