Ghandhara Nissan Limited reported standalone and consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2018. For the quarter, on standalone basis, the company reported revenue of PKR 725.887 million compared to PKR 1,385.559 million a year ago. Profit from operations was PKR 71.337 million compared to PKR 219.976 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 62.972 million compared to PKR 217.870 million a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 45.802 million or PKR 1.02 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 155.390 million or PKR 3.45 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the nine months, on standalone basis, the company reported revenue of PKR 1,740.435 million compared to PKR 4,035.234 million a year ago. Profit from operations was PKR 330.837 million compared to PKR 614.857 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 316.823 million compared to PKR 609.023 million a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 242.857 million or PKR 5.40 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 437.012 million or PKR 9.71 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported revenue of PKR 1,384.911 million compared to PKR 2,000.715 million a year ago. Profit from operations was PKR 130.101 million compared to PKR 305.348 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 229.233 million compared to PKR 363.146 million a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the holding company was PKR 198.031 million or PKR 4.40 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 275.591 million or PKR 6.12 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the nine months, on consolidated basis, the company reported revenue of PKR 3,728.686 million compared to PKR 5,326.509 million a year ago. Profit from operations was PKR 449.518 million compared to PKR 719.826 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 694.357 million compared to PKR 875.624 million a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the holding company was PKR 562.086 million or PKR 12.49 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 655.295 million or PKR 14.56 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
Ghandhara Automobiles Limited, formerly Ghandhara Nissan Limited, is a Pakistan-based holding company. The Company is engaged in assembly/progressive manufacturing of vehicles, including JAC Trucks and Chery SUVs, import and sale of parts and Dongfeng and Renault vehicles in completely built-up condition and assembly of other vehicles under contract agreement. The Company manufactures cars, trucks and buses. Its trucks/buses product lineup includes DF245iPM (4x2), DF385/420PM (6x4), DF375 (DFL3318A12), DF245RIGID (6x2), DF220RIGID (6x2), DF285iPM (6x4), Captain C, DF375 (DFL4251A8), DF280 (DFL1250), Realling M, JAC 1042, JAC 1020K, JAC X200, Renault D-280, Renault K-380, and Renault C-380. Its production facilities in assembling plants include cab metal shop, paint shop, trimming shop, chassis drilling, frame riveting, main assembly line, engine assembly and test shop, body shop, and axle assembly shop. Its manufacturing facilities are located at Port Qasim, Karachi.
