FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Shares in FMC fell by more than two percent at times on Tuesday morning. The topic of conversation among investors is a report in the "Economic Times" about a research success by Chinese scientists in the fight against diabetes.

FMCs react very sensitively to news about diabetes, which can cause damage to the kidneys as a secondary disease. Successes in the treatment of diabetes may therefore slow down the dialysis business.

However, FMC shares recently recovered all of their losses and defended their 200-day lines. The shares of parent company Fresenius, which had been weak in the meantime, were also barely in the red./ag/jha/
