Forward Electronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 411.575 million compared to TWD 340.463 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 5.503 million compared to operating loss of TWD 15.110 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 64.239 million compared to net income of TWD 17.317 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.41 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 0.11 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 1,088.353 million compared to TWD 1,002.924 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 12.729 million compared to TWD 39.776 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 130.938 million compared to TWD 13.038 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.83 compared to TWD 0.08 a year ago.
Forward Electronics Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and sales of optoelectronics products, information appliance peripheral products and electronic components. The Company's optoelectronics products include backlight modules, liquid crystal display (LCD) modules and light emitting diodes (LEDs). The Company's information appliance peripheral products include game consoles, vehicle anti-collision systems, financial terminal systems, computers, wireless sensing devices and others. Its electronic components consist of switches, variable resistors, bit generators, sensors and others. The Company also provides lighting products. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
