The Government Office recently issued a written order by the Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung regarding FLC Group's multi-purpose complex expected to be developed in Do Son, Hai Phong.

According to information from the Government Office, the Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has approved of the proposal to carry out the FLC Do Son complex.

Hai Phong City's People's Committee was assigned by the Deputy Prime Minister to adjust the master planning and the development of this complex in accordance with the law, while consulting opinions of related ministries.

Previously, on 25 April 2017, the Hai Phong City's Politburo had met to agree on the development plan for the FLC Do Son complex.

On 3 May 2017, the Hai Phong City's People's Committee submitted a written dossier to the Prime Minister, requesting for the addition of an ocean-encroaching area on the West side of the FLC Do Son complex of approximately 500ha into the master planning of Hai Phong City until 2025, with a vision until 2050.

At the same time, the Hai Phong City's People's Committee also requested the Prime Minister to agree on the construction of an 18-hole golf course at FLC Do Son, adding to the overall planning of golf courses in Vietnam until 2020.

According to the investment plan proposed by FLC Group, FLC will construction a complex including 4 main functional precincts: tourism service urban precinct, golf precinct, resort precinct, supporting landscape precinct on an area of 500ha, with an expected total investment cost of 233 million USD.

The project will include a 1,500-seat International Convention Center, luxurious eco-urban resort, 5 and 6-star hotels with approximately 1,000 rooms, residential complex, commercial housing, parks, entertainment centers, golf course and supporting landscapes (beaches, water areas, greeneries..) by the waterfront on the West coast of the Do Son complex.

This complex is designed by Schmidt-Curley Design (the US's leading design consultant), with the purpose of maintaining maximum natural landscapes and a below 10% construction density. Most constructions will use green architecture and renewable energy to increase sustainability.

The project will have convenient traffic connections as it lies at the heart of Do Son's sea tourism hub, with comprehensive infrastructure, near international sea and airports and the North's trading centers.

Hai Phong City's People's Committee recognizes the development of this complex as a meaningful step in the growth of the tourism industry in particular and the socio-economic development of Hai Phong City in general.
