Eugene Technology Inc. announced a private placement of 6,000,000 shares at KRW 11,172 per share for gross proceeds of KRW 67,032,000,000 on November 14, 2017. The transaction will include participation from existing investor, Eugene Technology Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ:A084370). On closing, the investor will increase its ownership stake from 97% to 99.6% in the company. The transaction is expected to close on November 15, 2017. The transaction was approved by the board of directors of the investor. The company reported total assets of KRW 132,000,000, total liabilities of KRW 4,792,000,000, revenues of KRW 334,000,000, and net loss of KRW 757,000,000 for the year ended 2016.
Eugene Technology Co Ltd is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of semiconductor equipment. The Company operates its business through three segments. The Semiconductor Equipment segment produces single wafer low pressure chemical vapor deposition equipment used in semiconductor device production and provides single wafer type solutions. The Semiconductor Industrial Gas Semiconductor Material segment manufactures and sells chemicals used for thin film deposition during the entire semiconductor process. The Other segment produces and supplies raw and subsidiary materials.
