(Alliance News) - Eni Spa announced Wednesday that Eni Sustainable Mobility and the Spinelli group, a leader in the integrated logistics sector, have signed a two-year contract to fuel the Spinelli group's fleet with HVOlution, diesel produced with 100 percent renewable raw materials.

The Spinelli group's fleet has more than 300 heavy transport vehicles, including 150 latest-generation Euro 6d vehicles whose engines are compatible with pure biofuel. The supply of the biofuel to the Spinelli group is made possible by Eni Sustainable Mobility's network of outlets: the product is available today at 57 service stations and, by the end of the month, will be available at 150 outlets in Italy.

Eni Sustainable Mobility is the company operating from January 2023 that combines biorefining, biomethane and the sale of mobility products in its more than 5,000 service stations in Italy and abroad.

The Spinelli Group, founded in 1963, operates in the entire supply chain management of the container sector, from arrival at the port to delivery to the end customer, offering shipping companies integrated solutions including multimodal transport, warehousing and customs forwarding activities.

The supply of HVO diesel to Spinelli Group's vehicles is managed through Multicard, Eni Sustainable Mobility's fuel card system designed for those managing small, medium and large fleets.

HVOlution is a biofuel produced from waste feedstocks and plant residues and oils generated from crops that do not compete with the food supply chain, which are supplied through a network of agri-hubs being developed by Eni in several African countries.

Eni's stock is up 0.2 percent at EUR13.45 per share.
