The agreement calls for the involvement of the two companies to develop the use in the shipping sector of Hvo (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) biofuel produced by Eni in the Venice and Gela biorefineries and other energy carriers, such as 'blue' or 'green' hydrogen and ammonia from biogenic, renewable or waste feedstocks that do not compete with the food chain.
MILAN (Reuters) - Multinational Rina, active in inspection, certification and engineering consulting, and Eni have signed an agreement with the aim of developing joint initiatives to contribute to the process of energy transition and decarbonization of their respective businesses with a focus on the shipping sector.
