Open Joint-Stock Company Enel OGK-5 announced operating results for the year 2011. For the year, the company produced 42.435 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, 0.9% less than in 2010. Net output dynamics were affected by Reftinskaya GRES's modernization of Unit 5 and long-term maintenance of Unit 9, which has been offset by the output increase at gas-fired power plants, in particular thanks to the commissioning of two CCGT units at Nevinnomysskaya GRES and Sredneuralskaya GRES during the year. Power sales by the company rose 4% to 47.862 billion kWh. The share of free market sales increased from 67% in 2010 to 84% in 2011, driven by the liberalization of the wholesale power market.
