Empresa Distribuidora Sur S.A. announced earnings and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018. EBITDA of its Argentinean subsidiary reached $91 million in 2018, which represents a $46 million increase in relation to the same period of the previous year. The main variables that explain this decrease in the March 2018 income, as compared to 2018, are described: Edesur's operating revenue increased by $111 million, or 33.1% in 2018, mostly because of a $188 million recognition of a greater revenue from energy sales as a result of the application of the new tariff review (Revisión Tarifaria Integral RTI) as published by Resolution No. 64 dated February 1, 2017 issued by the ENRE (Ministerio de Energía y Minería de la Secretaría de Energía Eléctrica); This increment was partially offset by (i) $16 million lower energy sales of 9 GWh and (ii) a $61 million decrease caused by the 25.5% devaluation of the Argentinean peso in relation to the US dollar.

For the quarter, the company reported energy sales of 4,626 GWh compared to 4,635 GWh a year ago.
