Cominix Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3173) agreed to acquire 68% of Onishikiko Co., Ltd from Hiroaki Onishi, Sadao Onishi, Taeko Onishi and Hiroki Onishi on February 14, 2020. The parties signed agreement on February 21, 2020. Onishikiko reported total assets of ¥1.13 billion, net assets of ¥405 million, sales of ¥1.01 billion, operating loss of ¥15 million and net loss of ¥16 million for the year ended November 30, 2019.
Cominix Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3173) completed the acquisition of 68% of Onishikiko Co., Ltd from Hiroaki Onishi, Sadao Onishi, Taeko Onishi and Hiroki Onishi on February 27, 2020. Post closing, Cominix acquired remaining 32% stake by purchasing shares from treasury thereby making Onishikiko as a wholly owned subsidiary.
Cominix Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the sale of cutting tools, abrasion-resistant tools and optical products. The Company operates through four business segments. The Cutting Tools segment is engaged in the sale of cutting tools, holding tools, measuring equipment, machine tools and others for the domestic market. The Abrasion Resistant Tools segment is engaged in the sale of can-making tools and crushing blades for the domestic market. The Overseas segment is engaged in the sale of cutting tools, can-making tools, holding tools, measuring instruments, machine tools, mineral resources and others to overseas markets. The Optical Products segment is engaged in the sale of optical fibers, light source devices, optical components and others.
