Application for CLP Community Care Subsidy Starts Tomorrow
CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) launched the one-off Community Care Subsidy last December aimed at helping alleviate tariff pressure of the grassroots families in its service area. Application for the subsidy starts tomorrow (25 February). CLP will offer each approved eligible household a subsidy of HK$300. The company expects up to 30,000 families to benefit from the subsidy programme.
Beneficiaries and successful applicants under Categories I or III of "Subsidy for Low-income Persons who are Inadequately Housed" under the Government's Community Care Fund and reside in CLP's supply area can apply for the CLP Community Care Subsidy. Application period will run from 25 February to 15 June 2013. Application forms for the subsidy are available at 30 community services centres. Each approved application will be offered a one-off subsidy of HK$300 from CLP. Programme information will be available on CLP website: www.clp.com.hkstarting from tomorrow.
"Over the past few years we have invested resources in community work to help grassroots families. The new subsidy is another important community care initiative by CLP to help families in need. Thanks for the 30 community services units' staunch support to the programme, low-income families in need are able to get our support in a convenient and direct way. CLP will continue to expand our community programme to support more persons in need," said CLP Power spokesperson.
